...toasting my best friend's wedding

Although it rained hard all day, we were safely esconced in the Captain's Club, where the staff really spoilt us, nothing was too much trouble.

It was a very special day and a real honour being Juliette's bridesmaid. We have know each other since secondary school and been best friends for over twenty years now. Her family are like a second family to me and it was wonderful to spend the day with them.

My beautiful twin managed to keep it together during her reading...I really don't know how!

The groom cried more than the bride...but slightly less than the Father of the Bride...I'm thinking this is because men don't generally focus on their feelings everyday, not like us women. I'm always expressing myself all over the place! So when it comes to weddings, there's no where for them to hide and it can be overwhelming for these poor boys.

Alcohol obvously helps in these situations as we ended up losing the boys and the best men who sloped off to the bar, enchanted by the promise of the ultimate jagerbomb (the barman introduced us to these, jagermeister, red bull and vodka *shudder*).

I love this photo of Sam caught unawares, having a Morrissey moment looking after my bouquet.

As all the couples paired up for the last dance and the boys were nowhere to be seen...I finished the evening dancing with my gorgeous twin...perfect.
